St. Francis Xavier School in Burbank, is a Catholic school comprised of grades kindergarten through eight. The school has seen many changes over the decades. Originally staffed by the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC), the school is presently staffed by lay people.
Today, the school enjoys a healthy enrollment and for good reason. The teachers and staff are credentialed, experienced educators and have long tenures at the school. Staff members also have a lot of experience assisting the teachers and supporting the school’s myriad programs. The school’s curriculum follows closely the California State Content Standards, and is enhanced through new technologies such as Smartboards throughout the classrooms and laptop computers in the junior high program.
